Do third parties have the same level of shipment control as the carriers themselves?

The perceived loss-of-shipment control by third parties is a myth. Dispatchers (whether working for a third party or a carrier) are not the best source for shipment information. The drivers themselves are the best source of shipment control. Therefore, Robart Transportation communicates directly with the drivers from load inception to completed delivery. Our operations team personally dispatches all drivers, issues check calls on load status, and communicates with drivers at load conception. Load conception contact is especially important because this enables Robart Transportation to be sure the shipment is delivered in good condition.
